Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and personable Watchlist Outreach Specialist to support our clinical engagement efforts by contacting high-risk members identified through claims trends, surgery intent indicators, imaging/precertification activity, or low engagement patterns.
This is an ideal role for non-clinical Physical Therapists, pre-health candidates, or individuals with healthcare navigation, rehab tech, or patient outreach experience. This role focuses on relationship-building, communication, engagement, and helping patients access appropriate care earlier.
Core Responsibilities
Contact high-risk or inactive members by phone, text, and email
Explain Aware Health services in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner
Help members schedule virtual evaluations with providers
Conduct follow-up outreach for members who did not complete scheduling
Escalate urgent clinical concerns to licensed providers appropriately
Review assigned outreach lists and prioritize outreach efforts
Document outreach attempts and member responses accurately
Identify barriers to engagement and communicate trends to the clinical team
Participate in brief weekly sync meetings with clinical and customer success teams
Ideal Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a DPT program (preferred final clinical year) OR prior healthcare experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable speaking with patients over the phone
Organized and detail-oriented
Professional written communication
Able to work independently in a remote environment
Interest in healthcare innovation, digital health, or orthopedics
Basic understanding of musculoskeletal conditions preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Maintain documentation completion rate greater than 95% on calls assigned (roughly 250/week)
Achieve at least 20 conversions per month
Support conversion of contacted members into scheduled evaluations
Maintain professional communication standards and positive member interactions
Demonstrate reliable attendance and responsiveness
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly compensation based on experience, flexible scheduling, remote work environment, and opportunity for growth within clinical operations and digital health strategy.
Hourly range: $30.00–$37.00 / hour
